Health & Safety Requirements
All dogs must be current on rabies, bordetella, and distemper/parvo vaccinations. Proof may be requested at any time. Clients must disclose all medical conditions, allergies, injuries, or behavioral concerns prior to service. We are not responsible for complications arising from undisclosed conditions. We reserve the right to refuse or stop service if a pet shows signs of extreme stress, aggression, or if continuation compromises safety. Pets with fleas, ticks, or parasites may be refused service or charged an additional cleaning and sanitization fee.
Grooming Risks & Emergency Care
Grooming involves the use of tools, products, and physical handling. While every precaution is taken, minor nicks, clipper irritation, stress, or allergic reactions may occur. Pre-existing conditions such as matting, skin sensitivity, or ear infections may worsen during grooming. In the event of a medical emergency, we are authorized to seek immediate veterinary care at the client’s expense. You acknowledge these risks and agree to hold Callie’s Wag to Whiskers harmless, except in cases of proven negligence or willful misconduct.
Matted or Neglected Coats
Severely matted coats may require shaving for the pet’s comfort and safety. Dematting may cause skin irritation or uncover pre-existing skin conditions. We are not liable for side effects caused by mat removal. Additional fees apply for excessive matting.
Liability Waiver
You release and hold harmless Callie’s Wag to Whiskers, its owner(s), and representatives from any liability for injury, illness, escape, death of your pet, or damage to personal property occurring before, during, or after grooming, except in cases of gross negligence. Our total liability shall not exceed the cost of the service rendered.
Cancellations, Payments & Pick-Up
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations or no-shows may be charged up to 50% of the service price. Arrivals more than 15 minutes late may result in rescheduling or shortened service at full charge. Pets must be picked up promptly after grooming. Late pickups may incur a holding fee. Payment is due in full at the time of service.
Media Consent
Unless requested otherwise in writing before the appointment, you grant permission for Callie’s Wag to Whiskers to photograph or record your pet for marketing, social media, or training purposes.
Veterinary Release Authorization
You authorize Callie’s Wag to Whiskers to seek emergency veterinary treatment when necessary and agree to be financially responsible for all related costs.
Returned Payment & Chargeback Policy
Returned checks or chargebacks will incur a $35 administrative fee plus any applicable collection costs. Multiple incidents may result in termination of services.
Price Adjustment Notice
Final pricing may change based on coat condition, pet behavior, size, and time required. Any adjustments will be discussed prior to completion of service.
Deposits & Prepayment
First-time clients may be required to submit a deposit to confirm their appointment. Deposits are applied toward the final bill and are non-refundable for no-shows or same-day cancellations.
Noise & Parking Courtesy
Please be respectful of our surrounding neighborhood. Dogs must remain leashed, excessive barking should be limited, and parking is restricted to designated areas.
Client Access Restrictions
Clients are limited to designated drop-off and pick-up areas only. Entry into private areas of the home is prohibited.
Senior & Special-Needs Pets
Senior pets and pets with medical conditions carry increased grooming risks. By booking services, the client acknowledges these risks and releases Callie’s Wag to Whiskers from liability for complications arising during or after grooming.
Sedation Policy
We do not administer sedation. Pets requiring sedation must receive it through their veterinarian prior to the grooming appointment.
Behavior Policy
Aggressive, unsafe, or unmanageable behavior may result in service refusal or permanent termination. Muzzles may be used when required for safety.
Force Majeure
We are not responsible for service delays or cancellations due to circumstances beyond our control including power outages, natural disasters, illness, or emergencies.
Data & Privacy Policy
Client and pet information is used solely for grooming services and is not shared with third parties except as required by law.
Policy Updates
Policies may be updated at any time. Continued services constitute acceptance of current policies.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any enforcement or arbitration shall take place in Riverside County, California.
